Fulbright Alumbus – a Journey across Vietnam

In the final days of 2022, I embarked on one of the most unforgettable adventures of my life — the Fulbright Alumbus.
To celebrate 30 years of the Fulbright Program in Vietnam, I transformed a simple idea into a moving classroom on wheels – an open-ended journey across the country to reconnect with the Fulbright spirit: curiosity, service, and lifelong learning.

From Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, the Alumbus carried not just me but a group of young dreamers – explorers eager to learn about the world, about themselves, and about the values that have shaped generations of Fulbright scholars.
Not all of them aimed for the scholarship; some simply wanted to see how far curiosity could take them. Along the way, they documented their reflections, creating a mosaic of voices and perspectives that reimagined what Fulbright could mean for a new generation.

The journey spanned a full month, from October 16 to November 15, leading right into the 35th Fulbright Anniversary Gala. Together, we crossed mountains and deltas, met alumni from diverse walks of life, and captured the essence of how education and empathy can move societies forward.
